Micah Peavy, a 6-foot-7 swingman from Georgetown, was acquired by the New Orleans Pelicans with the 40th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. This pick was dealt to New Orleans from Washington Wizards. During the freshman year, Peavy averaged 5.7 points per game for Texas Tech and later, entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. He played for TCU Horned Frogs and the Georgetown Hoyas.

After playing three seasons, he moved transferred to play for the Georgetown where he had career-high performances. Following three 20-point performances, he had a 30-point outing in February in a win over Providence. The 23-year-old averaged 17.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.8 stocks per game for the Hoyas. Peavy has range on defense at 6’7.
