The Miami Heat forward was not on the flight to Milwaukee for an NBA game against the Bucks.

Miami Heat and Jimmy Butler’s off-the-court drama continues as the franchise are reportedly suspending him again for missing a team flight for a road trip. ESPN’s Shamas Charania confirmed the news and as per report, Butler will serve a two-game suspension.

The Miami Heat forward was not on the flight to Milwaukee for an NBA game against the Bucks on Thursday night. His attitude reportedly prompted the franchise to take swift action. Butler recently came from a seven-game suspension due to “multiple instances of conduct detrimental to the team.”

“The Miami Heat are planning to suspend Jimmy Butler for two games, sources tell ESPN. Butler missed a team flight Wednesday and had plans to join the Heat tonight. Now Miami is keeping him home from its two-game road trip,” ESPN’s Shams Charania reported.

NBA All-Star will now miss Miami’s road matchups against the Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets. ESPN adds that Butler intended on making his way to Milwaukee another way, but Miami are clear on their stance to suspend him.

Miami forward talked to the media after playing against the Denver Nuggets at home, “Sooner or later, the whole truth will come out, but until then, we’ll continue to let people talk. And if I’m here, I will get out there to play,”

“I expect for people to talk,” Butler said. “Half the reason is because don’t nobody ever know what I’m really doing, so you just make up stuff, which is fine. And, honestly, I really don’t pay any attention to it. But I’ve got people telling me, ‘Oh they said this. They said that.’ So, I guess it’s really all good. I don’t have to clear anything up.

Jimmy Butler, who is averaging 17 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game this season, also fueled a new controversy. Miami star was wearing Phoenix Suns-themed shoes against the Trail Blazers on Tuesday night.

Phoenix Suns are keen to sign the 35-year-old forward. The Suns have acquired three future first-round picks from the Utah Jazz in exchange for another first-round pick. It could be a major development in Jimmy Butler trade saga.
