Kon Knueppel will play for the Charlotte Hornets in the 2025-26 season.
The former Duke Blue Devils guard Kon Knueppel has emerged as a formidable force for his team, apart from the number one overall pick, Cooper Flagg. He was selected as the fifth overall pick in the NBA Draft 2025 by the Charlotte Hornets. Having averaged 14.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in his sole college season, Knueppel solidified his position as a vital component of the team and proved that he is not merely a supportive player.
Knueppel’s inaugural season at the Blue Devils helped in his significant growth. His tenure at Duke allowed him to deepen his understanding of the game.

Recently, he worked out with the Dallas Mavericks. The opportunity helped him showcase his ability in front of the professionals. The 19-year-old left an impression and displayed his versatility and readiness to step into the world of the NBA. Talking about his journey, Knueppel went to Wisconsin Lutheran High School and finished with 10.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game in the freshman season.
In his senior year, he averaged 26.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, 5.1 assists per contest and was named Wisconsin Mr. Basketball. Not only this, but he also helped his side win the 2024 Boys Basketball Division 2 State Championship. In college, he was named the ACC tournament MVP 2025.

Knueppel’s height is listed at 6-feet and five-inches, which places him in the middle of the height charts among all combine participants.
The Milwaukee-native weighs 219 pounds, as measured from the NBA Draft Combine. He uses his big body as a shield to take the ball and ultimately break through two defenders to finish the play.
Knueppel has a wingspan of 6 ‘6 ¼” wingspan and 8’ 5 ½” standing reach. His hand measured 9.75 inches, which is just below his teammate Cooper Flagg.
While his exact shoe size is not available in the public domain, according to his height, it is expected to be around 12 or 13.
