Jonathan Kuminga's status is in doubt for Warriors' biggest matchup against Grizzlies.
Memphis Grizzlies (44-31) will host the Golden State Warriors (43-31) in a highly anticipated clash on Monday. This game will affect all the potential scenarios for the NBA playoffs. Golden State can jump Memphis for the 5-seed with a win. This is one of the important matchups of the season which can directly impact which teams make the playoffs and which make the play-in.
Warriors are 2-2 on their current six-game road trip. The Dubs stand sixth in the West, half-game ahead of the Timberwolves and the Clippers. On the same day, the Timberwolves and the Nuggets will be in action so playoff seeding will be changed. Steve Kerr’s side can clinch a tiebreaker with a win over the Grizzlies.
On the flip note, Memphis leads Golden State by a half-game for the No. 5 seed and they enter the fixture with a second straight loss since the firing of Taylor Jenkins. The Grizzlies are 3-7 through the last ten games and their playoff contention is in jeopardy. They could fall to the play-in tournament with a loss tomorrow.
