Denver Nuggets vs. Sacramento Kings Injury Report April 9, 2025- Updates on Jamal Murray, Malik Monk, Keegan Murray and more

Eric Divakaran

The Denver Nuggets are set to go up against the Sacramento Kings on April 9, 2025. The Nuggets and the Kings have faced each other 3 times this season and Denver has come out on top every single time. In the last 5 regular season matchups between the Kings and the Nuggets, the Nuggets have won 4 compared to the Kings’ single victory.

The Sacramento Kings are currently the 9th seed in the West, with a record of 39-40, marking them below .500. They are battling with the Dallas Mavericks for the 9th seed and are currently leading with just one game. It has been all-in-all a disappointing season for the Kings. The firing of head coach Mike Brown, De’Aaron Fox traded to the Spurs, Zach Lavine and DeMar DeRozan reuniting in Sacramento, the kings have had no consistency this season and we wonder what will they look like in the future seasons to come.

Meanwhile for the Nuggets, they have been going through quite a bit of drama themselves. The playoffs are almost here but they decided to fire head coach Mike Malone, and their GM Calvin Booth with just three regular season games remaining. Their defense has been exposed by many teams in the NBA, their lack of shooting, depth in their lineup, and now the firing of coach Malone, has all brought in even further doubts about their playoff chances going forward.

The Nuggets are currently sitting at the 5th spot in the West with a 47-32 record. If they lose any more games, they could be competing in the Play-In Tournament, rather than the playoffs, as the Grizzlies, Warriors, Clippers, and the Nuggets, are all tied with 47-32 record each.

Denver Nuggets Injuries

  • DaRon Holmes II– Out
  • Jamal Murray– Doubtful

The Nuggets have struggled without Jamal Murray in the starting lineup, who provides a steady diet of buckets. However he’s currently dealing with a right hamstring inflammation. Murray has missed a bunch of games and the Nuggets are quite desperate to get him back since they are on the brink of entering the Play-In Tournament, and losing the playoff spot.

Sacramento Kings Injuries

  • Keegan Murray– Questionable
  • Malik Monk– Out
  • Jake LaRavia– Out
  • Mason Jones– Out
  • Isaiah Crawford– Out

Keegan Murray, who provides floor spacing for the Kings and is a good perimeter defender, is listed as questionable with a lower back inflammation. Malik Monk will miss the game against the Nuggets as he is dealing with left calf soreness. Jake LaRavia will also not participate in tonight’s game since he’s dealing with a thumb injury. Whereas, Mason Jones and Isaiah Crawford will not play tonight against the Nuggets since they both have G-League duties that are assigned to them.

I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
