The Mavericks head to Mexico City for their fourth regular-season game south of the border, taking on the Detroit Pistons at Arena CDMX. Dallas has history here, including a win over Detroit in 2019 and a victory against Phoenix in 2017, while also playing in the NBA’s first Mexico City game back in 1997.
Dwight Powell is the only Maverick remaining from that 2019 matchup and comes in off a strong performance. Detroit enters with momentum after a convincing win over Orlando, led by Cade Cunningham’s scoring and Jalen Duren’s presence inside, setting up a competitive international showcase.
