Clippers vs Raptors Preview

Los Angeles Clippers

LA Clippers are high on confidence with a 107-98 win over the Sacramento Kings, thanks to Norman Powell’s first career double-double with 31 points and 12 rebounds. Meanwhile, they have endured a three-game winning streak and improved to a 5-4 record from the first nine games. Their last defeat came against the Thunder last Sunday.

Clippers have listed three players on the injury report and will have back-to-back games in the NBA. Their star player, Kawhi Leonard remains out due to injury. Mohamed Bamba’s status is questionable through Knee strain and PJ Tucker is also doubtful.

Toronto Raptors

Toronto Raptors are well-rested ahead of the crucial tie but they enter the Intuit Dome with a 2-7 record. Darko Rajakovic will rely on Barrett, Jakob Poeltl and Mitchell to pull off an unexpected upset. The Raptors threw away the potential chance of their first win on the road in previous game. The Kings were 4 points behind going into the final quarter but their 4th quarter (33-14) comeback snatched the victory from Raptors.

Injuries are giving a big headache to the Raptors as Scottie Barnes, Bruce Brown, Kelly Olynyk and Ja’Kobe Walter are sidelined due to injuries. Garett Temple (back strain) and Immanuel Quickley (pelvic contusion) are questionable. Their previous victory came in a high-scoring 131-128 win over the Sacramento Kings which ended their 4-game losing streak.

Who’s Expected to Win?

Toronto Raptors are dealing with injury issues and going through a tough phase. With no wins on the road this season, their confidence has been shaken.

On the flip side, the LA Clippers are on the roll with three straight wins and they have managed their balance without Kawhi Leonard. The Raptors are poised to make the Clippers struggle in the beginning but Los Angeles will secure a win in the end.
