The Boston Celtics dominated the New York Knicks, cruising to a commanding 132-109 victory in the NBA season opener at TD Garden on Tuesday night. Despite the Knicks shooting an impressive 55.1% from the field, Boston’s relentless offensive firepower made the difference, particularly from beyond the arc. The Celtics set a record for most three-pointers on the opening night, draining 29 of their 61 three-point attempts, with Jayson Tatum leading the charge, piling up 37 points, including eight triples.

Tatum was unstoppable, going 8-of-11 from the field, while teammates Jaylen Brown (18 points), Derrick White (24 points), and Jrue Holiday (18 points) provided steady scoring. The Knicks, meanwhile, saw solid contributions from Jalen Brunson (22 points) and Mikal Bridges (16 points), but they struggled from deep, shooting just 11-of-30 from three.
