Where will Carter Bryant begin his NBA career?

Carter Bryant, a former Arizona Wildcats small forward, enters the 2025 NBA Draft as a prospect custom-made for today’s scenario of the game where players are expected to guard multiple positions. Standing tall at 6-foot-8 with almost a 7-foot wingspan, Bryant has a physical profile which makes him suitable for a two-way forward. He started schooling at Fountain Valley High School, but moved to Sage Hill School in Newport Beach, California.

Later, he moved to Centennial High School in Corona, California, and played in the 2024 McDonald’s All-American Boys Game during his senior year. A four-star recruit and a top player in the 2024 class, the 19-year-old went to University of Arizona and committed to play for the Wildcats. In his freshman season, he started in five games and finished with the records of 6.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assists.

Carter Bryant Scouting Reports- Strengths and Weaknesses

Strength

  • Carter Bryant has sharp moves and is an excellent cutter. He is always on a lookout for cutting opportunities and finishes with power on lobs.
  • He is an excellent 3-point shooter, and his stats of making 45.5% of his 3s in his final six games in the conference and NCAA tournaments speak for it. His free throw success rate was 69.5%, and he recorded 68-off-77 attempts from the free throw line as a high school senior.
  • Bryant can play from multiple positions, considering his size, strength and quickness.

Weaknesses

  • Bryant loses control of the ball way too often and has time and again made sloppy passes. He also lacks the skills to do basic stuff like attacking closeouts.
  • While he is an established shooter from a standstill, Bryant cannot hit 3s off of movement.

Carter Bryant’s Stats and Achievements at Arizona

  • Bryant finished his freshman season at Arizona with the stats of 6.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assists. He recorded 0.9 steals and 1.0 blocks per game in the 37 games he played for the side.
  • He is the only freshman apart from Flagg with at least three dunks and 3-pointers in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

Carter Bryant’s Draft Projection
