Brandon Miller left the game against the Philadelphia 76ers early with an injury scare.
The Charlotte Hornets visited the Wells Fargo Center to lock horns with the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, October 25. Having kicked off their 2025-26 NBA season with a decent win over the Brooklyn Nets, the Hornets were aiming to continue their dominance over the 76ers. However, things turned scary for them when forward Brandon Miller was forced to leave the game early with an apparent shoulder injury.
In the second quarter of the game, Miller headed to the locker room holding his left arm in pain. In the second frame, the Hornets called timeout with 10:50 remaining on the clock and the 22-year-old was seen walking towards the tunnel. He appeared to be in a good amount of pain and was holding his left arm. It was unclear as to when the injury occurred or what was its severity.

Notably, Miller, in his junior year of the league, was aiming for a comeback this season after a limited appearance last season. He suffered a torn scapholunate ligament in his right wrist in January 2025, which required him to undergo a surgery and miss the rest of the 2024-25 season. Miller managed to play only 27 games for the Hornets, averaging 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.1 steals during the campaign.
Brandon Miller leaving the court in pain was enough for the franchise to feel deja vu, but tests were carried out to determine the extent of his injury. Soon, the Charlotte Hornets announced that Miller suffered left shoulder soreness, ruling him out for the remainder of the game in Philadelphia. The 2023 second overall pick left with only four points, and one assist in nine minutes on court. He was shooting 2-of-6 from the field and 0-of-2 from beyond the arc.
He kicked the regular-season off on an impressive note, posting 25 points, seven assists, one steal and one block against the Brooklyn Nets. During the game, Miller was shooting 8-of-19 from the field and 2-of-9 from deep. As for the Hornets, they were leading the 76ers 102-99 in the final quarter at the time of writing this.
