Phoenix Suns Reportedly Interested in Offering Jonathan Kuminga $70 Million More Than Warriors’ Proposal

Jonathan Kuminga’s free agency saga might soon come to an end, with him possibly joining the Phoenix Suns. According to the latest reports, the Warriors’ star has received lucrative offers from the Phoenix Suns, who are ready to pay him $90 million over four years. The offer also includes a player option for the final season.

Recently, the Warriors made a renewed push for Kuminga and offered him a two-year deal worth $45 million. However, the 22-year-old declined the offer since the Dubs wanted to eliminate his no-trade clause. This reopened the door for the Suns, and they came up with a lucrative proposal. According to reports, the Sacramento Kings also came up with a similar kind of offer, but the Suns have an aggressive push via sign-and-trade.

The offer is nearly $70 million more guaranteed than the Warriors’ current offer, and also includes a defined starting role as well as multiple opportunities to grow. Considering his young age, Kuminga has a long way to go. Hence, he is most likely to go with the offer that not only helps his career trajectory but also gives him the respect he deserves.

Jonathan Kuminga Sends Strong One-Line Message Amid Trade Drama

It’s been over a month since the beginning of free agency, and while most players have landed in their new teams, Jonathan Kuminga’s destiny is yet to be decided. While tensions are high, Kuminga seems to be highly motivated and unbothered by it. Recently, he took to his social media and posted a picture of himself while sharing a one-line message. Notably, Kuminga played for four years with the Warriors and posted a career average of 12.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. He became a restricted free agent this summer, and both teams are yet to agree on a deal.
