The NBA offseason is here, and according to ESPN’s Shams Charania this offseason could be the “craziest ever,” because we have multiple superstars and stars who could be traded and be playing elsewhere this season. One of the biggest names that has been in multiple trade rumors so far is Kevin Durant who played for the Phoenix Suns this season. Durant, soon to be 37, is still one of the most lethal scorers and a superstar in the NBA, despite his age. He’s been playing for the Phoenix Suns for the last two seasons and a half, but that hasn’t been a successful tenure so far.

After forcing his way out of the Brooklyn Nets in the middle of the 2022-23 season, he’s been trying to get back to the Western Conference Finals, but that proved to be much difficult that it was supposed to be for the Suns. The Suns traded away majority of their assets to create a win-now team with Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, as their core, but after two consecutive first round exits, and not making the playoffs or even the Play-In this season, it is safe to say that the trio is not going to win a championship anytime soon.
So after another season of disappointment and underachievement, the Suns could be looking to move Kevin Durant somewhere else, and he’s been linked up to multiple trade rumors including, the Rockets, Heat, Magic, and now the San Antonio Spurs.

According to Shams Charania, The San Antonio Spurs could land Kevin Durant this offseason. There are two superstars that could be traded this offseason and that includes Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant, who have both been involved in multiple trade rumors. While the Spurs do have their eyes set on these superstars, Giannis is far more expensive to trade for, than Kevin Durant.

The Greek Freak is currently in his prime and according to reports is open to playing elsewhere other than at Milwaukee. However, the Bucks are not going to let him go cheap, and the price to pay will be hefty. Meanwhile, Kevin Durant is the far simpler and cheaper option, and the possibility of him going to San Antonio is far more likely than Giannis.
“They have a ton of assets. They have tradable contracts, the No.2 and No. 14 picks in this year’s draft, and a bunch of future picks as well. So whether it’s a player like Antetokounmpo. I think Kevin Durant is another guy to watch. There was mutual interest between the Spurs and Kevin Durant at trade deadline. I think they’ll be active to find a wing player who can take them over the top.”

The Spurs already have something special brewing, with two back-to-back Rookie of the Year winners involving Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle, and they also acquired De’Aaron Fox this season. Adding a veteran like Durant who is lethal from any part of the court, and having Chris Paul, Devin Vassel, Keldon Johnson, Jeremy Sochan, and Harrison Barnes, could be create something special that nobody is expecting.

mma I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
