Celtics vs Lakers: Will Luka Doncic play tonight?

Gulshan Sharma

Lakers are 9-1 when Luka plays in the starting lineup.

The Boston Celtics (45-18) will host the Los Angeles Lakers (40-21) on Sunday night to build on a three-game win streak. It’s already the most hyped clash of the season as it becomes the most expensive Boston home game ever. Both teams are sitting second in their respective conference.

The Lakers have won eight games in a row and enter the TD Garden with an overtime win against the New York Knicks. Luka Doncic’s arrival has done the magic for the Lakers, who are the frontrunners to reach NBA finals this season.

Boston Celtics are 3-1 in their current homestand but faced a 117-97 loss in their previous regular-season meeting with the Lakers. Luca Doncic and Co. are high on confidence but still, it would be the toughest task for the Lakers.

Apart from Doncic, LeBron James is also listed probable for Sunday’s encounter. Jaxson Hayes remains questionable due to a knee injury. Maxi Kleber (foot) and Rui Hachimura (knee) are yet to recover from injuries.

For Boston, Jrue Holiday (finger), Kristaps Porzingis (illness) and Sam Hauser (ankle) are listed as questionable.
