Suryansh Kumar

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads the race for the Most Valuable Player award.

One of the most competitive MVP race in recent history is the 2024-25 MVP race in the NBA. Same as the Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson’s race for the 2025 NFL MVP.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of Oklahoma City Thunder and Nikola Jokic of Denver Nuggets have been the two favorites. Since the start of the season, the duo has exchanged position as the top-2 players on NBA’s KIA MVP Tracker.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is on his way to lead the Thunder to back-to-back first seed in the West. Finishing as the runner-up to Jokic in the previous season, Shai is favored to be the new MVP of the league.

Nikola Jokic has been Shai’s main competitor throughout the NBA season. Having won three MVP awards, Joker might be looking to join LeBron James with four MVPs.
