Luka finished with 28 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists in Dallas' win.
Luka Doncic is back with a BANG! The star guard resumed his normal services as he put on a show at American Airlines Center on Thursday to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a convincing 120-109 win over the San Antonio Spurs in their NBA season opener.
Doncic played with the Spurs’ defense, scoring 28 with 10 rebounds and eight assists in Dallas’ win, but one pass might be the assists of the season.
Just after the start of the third quarter, the Mavericks were up 66-55 over the Spurs. Doncic took the rebound and sprinted down the court. While it looked like he would take on himself to score the bucket, Doncic made a ridiculous no-look pass to P.J. Washington, who was wide open in the right corner. Washington didn’t disappoint, as he knocked a 3-pointer to extend Dallas’ lead to 13 points.
