Dans ce qui pourrait être sa dernière apparition dans sa province natale, le gardien de but Marc-André Fleury a livré une performance qui restera gravée dans la mémoire des fervents amateurs de hockey de Montréal.<\/h2>

L’atmosphère au Centre Bell mardi soir était électrique, alors que Marc-Andre Fleury<\/strong><\/a>, natif de Sorel-Tracy, au Québec, a démontré son esprit indomptable et son habileté, menant le Wild du Minnesota à une victoire décisive de 5 à 2 contre les Canadiens.<\/p>

Le spectacle des 27 arrêts de Fleury n’était pas seulement son début de saison, c’était aussi un témoignage de son statut légendaire dans le sport. Lors d’un arrêt particulier, un arrêt sur deux patins contre Johnathan Kovacevic, la foule montréalaise a scandé son nom à l’unisson, un honneur rare pour un joueur visiteur. L’apothéose a eu lieu lorsqu’il a été nommé première étoile du match, ce qui lui a valu une vibrante ovation.<\/p>

Si la soirée a été festive, elle n’en était pas moins poignante.<\/p>

À 38 ans, Fleury se trouve à la croisée des chemins et doit prendre des décisions quant à son avenir. Après l’élimination du Wild des séries éliminatoires de 2023, il a évoqué la possibilité que la saison 2023-24 soit sa dernière danse.<\/p>

Il s’agit d’une décision capitale pour un joueur de son envergure. Trois fois champion de la Coupe Stanley et lauréat du trophée Vezina en 2021, Marc-Andre Fleury a un palmarès éloquent.<\/p>

Avec 545 victoires en carrière, il est sur le point de dépasser l’emblématique Patrick Roy<\/a>, n’ayant besoin que de 7 victoires supplémentaires pour s’assurer la deuxième place, un poste actuellement dominé par l’inégalable Martin Brodeur avec 691 victoires.<\/p>

Bien qu’il approche du crépuscule de sa carrière, Fleury reste impeccable. Les statistiques de la saison dernière – un pourcentage d’arrêts de 0,908 et une moyenne de buts alloués de 2,85 – confirment ses prouesses.<\/p>
