Moins d’un mois après qu’une entorse à la partie supérieure du bras ait menacé d’écarter Max Scherzer de la post-saison – une blessure qui devait initialement durer « six à huit semaines », selon Joon Lee d’ESPN – Scherzer s’est rétabli de façon remarquable.<\/h2>

Vendredi, il s’est déclaré avec confiance « prêt à partir<\/a> » pour le match d’ouverture de l’ALCS 2023 contre les Astros de Houston.<\/p>

Lors de son récent match simulé, il a effectué 68 lancers, un exploit impressionnant compte tenu de la courte période de récupération. Les Rangers se trouvent donc dans une position avantageuse. La présence d’un vétéran du calibre de Scherzer sur le monticule peut changer la dynamique du match.<\/p>

Cependant, la question reste entière : Combien de temps Scherzer pourra-t-il maintenir sa forme dans un scénario de match réel ? Il a répondu en insistant sur la nécessité d’une communication claire avec la direction.<\/p>

Texas Rangers : À la recherche de leur premier titre<\/h3>

Les Texas Rangers, qui ont réalisé une saison remarquable, sont en quête de leur premier titre en MLB. Plus qu’une simple course au championnat, il s’agit pour eux de faire leurs preuves sur le terrain. Le fait d’avoir échangé un espoir parmi les 50 premiers en juillet pour renforcer leur équipe de lanceurs avec l’inclusion de Max Scherzer<\/strong><\/a> témoigne de leur volonté d’atteindre cet objectif.<\/p>

L’inclusion possible de Max Scherzer dans l’équipe de l’ALCS pourrait apporter aux Rangers l’expérience et l’avantage tactique dont ils ont besoin. Avec des joueurs comme Nathan Eovaldi, qui a joué un rôle central lors de la victoire des Red Sox de Boston en Série mondiale en 2018, les chances des Rangers de marquer la post-saison de leur empreinte augmentent considérablement.<\/p>

Le directeur général des Rangers, Chris Young, qui avait précédemment jugé « improbable » que Max Scherzer lance en post-saison, a maintenant un dilemme positif entre les mains.
