L’entraîneur des Rams, Sean McVay, n’est pas emballé à l’idée d’affronter un ancien joueur de Los Angeles tel que Matt Gay.<\/h2>

Sean McVay des Los Angeles Rams ne se réjouit pas à l’idée d’affronter son ancien kicker ce dimanche. Les Rams se rendront à Indianapolis pour affronter les Colts. Matt Gay avait remporter le Super Bowl LVI avec les Los Angeles Rams lors de la saison 2021 de NFL.<\/p>

Matt Gay est désormais le nouveau kicker d’Indianapolis et a déjà été décisif notamment dans la victoire face aux Baltimore Ravens en week 3. Gay a rejoint les Colts en tant qu’agent libre, étant donné que Los Angeles n’a pas voulu le prolonger après trois ans chez les Rams et une victoire au Super Bowl.<\/p>

Matt Gay a signé durant l’intersaison un contrat de 22.5 millions de dollars sur quatre ans avec Indianapolis. les Rams vont désormais affronter leur ancien kicker ce dimanche à 19h.<\/p>

« Je vais vous dire, Matt a fait beaucoup de ces coups de pied pour nous et je lui en suis reconnaissant. Je n’aime pas avoir à jouer contre un gars comme lui, mais Brett Maher a fait du bon travail », a déclaré Sean McVay<\/a>.<\/p>\n

« Nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir compter sur Brett. Je pense qu’il a fait un très bon travail, surtout ces deux dernières semaines. J’aime la façon dont il a réagi, même à Seattle, avec des choses qui n’étaient pas toujours sous son contrôle », a poursuit Sean McVay.<\/p>\n

« Mais Matt Gay était un joueur extraordinaire, un type formidable. J’ai été très heureux pour lui et sa famille de pouvoir obtenir la reconnaissance qu’il a eue lorsqu’il était ici et de pouvoir gagner ce contrat. C’est un peu doux-amer, mais on est heureux pour lui parce qu’il a beaucoup compté pour nous et que j’aime cette personne. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

Matt Gay pourrait encore être décisif en week 4 pour les Colts, surtout avec le retour du quarterback titulaire, Anthony Richardson. Pour le moment, les Colts sont à 2-1 après leur victoire en overtime face aux Baltimore Ravens. Les Rams<\/a> sont à 1-2 après leur défaite en prime time face aux Cincinnati Bengals.<\/p>
