Klay Thompson et les Warriors seraient loin de trouver un accord pour une prolongation de contrat.<\/h2>

Pour les Warriors<\/a>, le cas Draymond Green a été réglé sur la signature d’une nouveau contrat de 100 millions de dollars étalés sur quatre ans. Cependant, Golden State et Thompson souhaitent prolonger leur aventure à San Francisco mais les négociations semblent dire le contraire à l’aube des camps d’entraînements.<\/p>

Klay Thompson entre cette saison dans sa dernière année de contrat avec les Warriors avant de potentiellement devenir agent libre lors de la prochaine intersaison. Selon TheAthletic<\/a>, les négociations entre les deux partis sont au point mort.<\/p>

« Aucune proposition officielle ou contreproposition n’a été faite des deux côtés. Aucun chiffre exact sur le salaire n’a été mentionné », a déclaré Anthony Slater, journaliste de TheAthletic. « Il n’y a pas d’avancées ni d’un côté ni de l’autre. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

L’explication la plus possible concernant ces négociations n’est pas que l’un veut se séparer de l’autre. La NBA pénalise les équipes les plus gourmandes financièrement ce qui rend les négociations compliquées pour l’un des meilleurs shooter à trois points. En effet, Golden State dépense beaucoup dans la prolongation de ses joueurs et espéraient faire la même chose avec Klay Thompson.<\/p>

Les Warriors doivent donc s’ajuster à ces normes pour proposer un bon contrat à leur joueur. Malgré la séparation avec Jordan Poole pour Chris Paul durant l’intersaison, les Warriors doivent décider ou non s’ils doivent mettre le prix pour le joueur de 33 ans qui touche actuellement un contrat à 43 millions de dollars par ans.<\/p>

le débat chez les Golden State Warriors est de savoir s’ils doivent tout miser sur Thompson et cette équipe pour gagner un dernier titre NBA avant que l’équipe ne perde ses stars vieillissantes. A noter que Klay Thompson a subi deux grosses blessures durant sa carrière ce qui pourrait freiner les Warriors d’y mettre le prix pour qu’il ne joue pas.<\/p>

Ce qui semble le plus probable est une réduction de salaire pour Thompson afin de rester un Warrior.<\/p>
