La course au titre dans l’American League Ouest a pris une tournure dramatique pour les Mariners après une 4è défaite de suite hier soir face aux Astros cette fois-ci.<\/h2>

Les Astros de Houston, au milieu d’une saison fluctuante, ont fait preuve d’un retour en forme frappant, surmontant une série de revers antérieurs pour sceller une formidable victoire 5-1 sur les Mariners de Seattle.<\/p>

Une victoire au bon moment<\/h3>

Les Astros ont entamé ce match après une période difficile, avec cinq défaites sur les six derniers matchs, ce qui leur a fait perdre la première place de la Ligue américaine de l’Ouest. Les Astros, qui ont démontré leur formidable présence à l’extérieur, ont joué leur va-tout en s’appuyant sur les contributions puissantes et précises de Justin Verlander<\/strong><\/a>, Yordan Alvarez et Kyle Tucker.<\/p>

Le lancer exemplaire de Justin Verlander a joué un rôle essentiel la nuit dernière pour sceller la victoire. Il a fait preuve d’une résilience remarquable, en particulier dans les moments de forte pression, comme lorsqu’il s’est sorti d’une situation délicate avec les bases pleines en troisième manche forçant une balle roulante de Rodriguez pour un double-jeu salvateur.<\/p>

Tout cela a facilité la neutralisation de l’as des Mariners Luis Castillo, perturbant le rythme des Mariners et les gardant en échec.<\/p>

Des prouesses offensives à l’état pur<\/h3>

En complément du solide lancer de Verlander, les spectaculaires home runs de Yordan Alvarez et de Kyle Tucker ont ajouté une couche supplémentaire d’attaque, rendant l’approche des Astros bien équilibrée. L’incroyable home run de 439 pieds d’Alvarez dans la 3è manche a donné le ton pour le coup de circuit de Tucker dans le sixième match qui a encore renforcé la domination des Astros.<\/p>

Cette victoire a non seulement permis aux Astros de se replacer dans la course à la Ligue américaine de l’Ouest, avec deux matchs et demi de retard sur les Rangers, mais elle a également préparé le terrain pour une éventuelle résurgence dans les prochains matchs.<\/p>

Il reste encore 2 matchs dans cette série qui pourrait sonner le glas des aspirations des Mariners à disputer les séries éliminatoires cette saison.<\/p>
