C’est un débat qui dure depuis déjà des années et qui semble interminable : Qui de Michael Jordan ou de LeBron James est le meilleur ?<\/h2>

À cette question, tout le monde à son avis : « His Airness » ou le « King » avec toujours des arguments que chacun pense irréfutable. Et cette question est posée aussi aux coéqupiers de l’un et de l’autres, aux jeunes génération ou au plus ancienne. En dernier lieu, c’est Toni Kukoc qui a donné son avis, lui qui a joué avec Michael Jordan.<\/p>

Et ça réponse est claire : on ne peut pas les comparer.<\/p>

« Il est difficile de comparer des joueurs qui n’ont jamais joué à la même époque ; qui n’ont jamais joué les uns contre les autres. » déclare Toni Kukoc via Brandon Robinson de Bally Sport<\/a>. « Évidemment, comme tout le reste, le basket-ball évolue. Il s’améliore. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

Kukoc met en avant le fait que les époques sont différentes, que le basket a évolué et qu’il ne cesse d’évoluer. La comparaison se fait avec LeBron James aujourd’hui, mais elle pourrait se faire demain avec Luka Doncic<\/strong><\/a> ou VIctor Wembanyama par exemple, ou même un joueur qui n’est même pas encore arrivé sur les parquets de NBA.<\/p>

Chacun de ces deux immenses athlètes a apport »é sa pierre à l’édifice de la NBA :<\/p>

« Michael a évidemment amené le basket-ball mondial à un autre niveau. Et à partir de ce moment-là, LeBron est ce qu’est LeBron maintenant qu’il a donné une chance à Luka d’être Luka ou à Jokic d’être Jokic. Vous ne pourriez jamais imaginer cela à l’époque. Donc si je peux comparer Michael, je le comparerais à Tiger [Woods] avec le golf, Messi ou Ronaldo avec le football, [Michael] Phelps avec la natation et des trucs comme ça. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

Alors pour Kukoc, Michael Jordan n’est peut-être pas LE GOAT mais UN des GOATs et la sémantique a son importance:<\/p>

« À cause de ces choses, Michael est – je ne peux pas dire le meilleur joueur mais c’est un GOAT du basket-ball. Je ne pense pas que ce soit égoïste, c’est juste comme ça. J’aimerais que vous puissiez mettre les joueurs d’aujourd’hui dans les années 90 et avoir cette façon de jouer au basket avec les fautes graves et tout le reste et quand vous parlez de ces gars-là, évidemment, il y aura des joueurs qui diront : « Ouais, mais qu’en est-il de Magic et Bird ? ? Et Bill Russel ? Et Elgin Baylor ? Parce qu’à leur époque, ces gars étaient si dominants que personne d’autre ne s’en approchait. « <\/p><\/blockquote>
