Les Mariners de Seattle 2023 entrent dans l’histoire alors qu’ils se rapprochent de leur premier titre de la Ligue américaine de l’Ouest depuis 2001.<\/h2>

Non seulement ils sont sur le point de remporter un titre, mais ils ont également franchi une étape historique que l’équipe emblématique de 2001 avec 116 victoires n’a jamais réussi – établissant un nouveau record de franchise pour le plus grand nombre de victoires en un seul mois.<\/p>

Avec 21 victoires en août, ils ont dépassé le record de 20 victoires de l’équipe de 2001 en avril, mai et août, et le record de 20 victoires du club de 1997 en juin. Victoire historique sur Oakland<\/h3>

La 21e victoire des Mariners en août a été une victoire passionnante de 5-4 contre les Oakland Athletics au T-Mobile Park. À la poursuite des séries éliminatoires<\/h3>

Malgré cet exploit historique, l’équipe actuelle des Mariners se concentre sur une chose : atteindre les séries éliminatoires.<\/p>

La victoire contre Oakland a mis fin à une série de match à domicile (5-1) pour les Mariners et les a lancés dans un road trip de 10 matchs à égalité pour la première place avec Houston. Alors que Toronto est à la traîne, Seattle, Houston et le Texas sont au coude à coude pour les dernières places de l’AL Wild Card alors qu’ils entrent dans le dernier mois de la saison régulière.<\/p>

Le manager Scott Servais a souligné l’importance de bien faire les petites choses au cours des derniers mois, ce qui, selon lui, explique la forme actuelle de l’équipe.<\/p>
