Arrivé lors d’un sign-and-trade, Grant Williams vient renforcer l’effectif des Mavericks aux côtés de Luka Doncic et Kyrie Irving.<\/h2>

Invité dans le podcast de JJ Redick<\/a>, The Old Man and the Three<\/em>, Grant Williams offre son enthousiasme quand à cette nouvelle aventure qui se présente à lui. Attendu comme titulaire au poste 4 après plusieurs saisons sur le banc des Celtics, Williams veut grandir avec ce nouveau rôle.<\/p>

Après 4 ans passés en NBA, Grant Williams<\/strong><\/a> veut mettre à profit ses qualités de shoots avec notamment Luka Doncic dans le rôle de passeur :<\/p>

« Dès que tu es ouvert, il va te trouver<\/em>. Il fait du bon boulot pour impliquer ses coéquipiers et la prochaine étape pour lui dans sa progression sera de comprendre qu’il doit inciter aussi les autres à jouer leur jeu.<\/em>  » Il ajoute : « C’est sans doute mon meilleur rôle à ce jour, simplement parce que c’est le genre de compétences sur lesquelles j’ai progressé et travaillé. »<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>

Des responsabilités des deux côtés du terrain<\/h3>

Grant Williams veut être impliqué dans l’équipe des Mavericks. Les ambitions de Dallas de retrouver les playoffs et de jouer un rôle dans cette conférence Ouest en plein bouleversement, conviennent parfaitement à Williams. Sa volonté et d’apporté des deux côtés du terrain pour atteindre cet objectif :<\/p>

« Dans un monde parfait, mon rôle est celui du défenseur polyvalent qui s’occupe du meilleur attaquant adverse, qui débauche beaucoup d’énergie et qui fait aussi partie intégrante de l’attaque, qui est bien utilisé de ce côté-là<\/em>. La manière dont je vois les choses est la suivante : c’est la meilleure opportunité de ma vie, car je vais avoir des responsabilités en attaque mais aussi en défense. […] J’ai la sensation de pouvoir être un peu plus encouragé à jouer mon style de jeu à Dallas. »<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>
