Damian Lillard a demandé à quitter Portland il y a quelques jours, depuis c’est le calme plat. Joe Cronin, le general manager des Trail Blazers, ne compte pas prendre une décision trop hâtive.<\/b><\/h2>

Si Damian Lillard<\/a> ne veut que Miami, Joe Cronin voit plus large. Le GM de Portland a envoyé un message clair aux 29 autres franchises : envoyez nous vos meilleures offres et faites de votre franchise notre destination préférée.<\/span><\/p>

Les Trail Blazers comptent bien honorer la demande de transfert de Damian Lillard, mais ils comptent bien choisir la meilleure contrepartie. La franchise de l’Oregon rechercherait, selon Adrian Wojnarowski<\/a>, plusieurs choix de Draft et des jeunes joueurs à forts potentiels.<\/span><\/p>

D’après certains membres de la ligue qui ont pu parler à Joe Cronin, ils le considèrent comme un homme « sans sentiments » avec comme mantra : « Business pour Lillard, business pour les Blazers ».<\/span><\/p>

Il y a un an, Damian Lillard a signé un contrat « supermax » pour quatre ans et 176 millions de dollars. Ce contrat inclut deux ans avec une moyenne à 60 millions de dollars lorsqu’il aura 35 et 36 ans. Cette signature rend un échange encore plus complexe pour Portland, car certaines franchises voient ce contrat comme un blocage pour leur finances.<\/span><\/p>

Le Miami Heat peut offrir un maximum de deux premiers tours de Draft (2028 et 2030), cinq ans de premiers tours de Draft à échanger (avec Portland). Nikola Jovic<\/a> et Jaime Jaquez Jr.<\/a> peuvent aussi être inclus dans un transfert potentiel. Cependant, Jaquez Jr. ne peut pas être transféré avant le 31 juillet dû à son contrat rookie.<\/span><\/p>

Portland ne veut pas accueillir Tyler Herro<\/a> et son contrat de 120 millions de dollars sur quatre ans. Plusieurs franchises sont prêtent à prendre Herro en échange d’un premier tour de Draft que Portland jugerait intéressant pour eux. Un tel accord faciliterait le départ de Lillard.<\/span><\/p>

Étant donné que les choix de Draft de Miami sont plus proches de la fin du premier tour, Portland devrait demander plusieurs choix et plusieurs jeunes joueurs. Le transfert de Damian Lillard devrait ressembler aux transferts de Kevin Durant<\/a> à Phoenix ou Anthony Davis<\/a> à Los Angeles.<\/span><\/p>

Des franchises comme le Utah Jazz pourraient donc avoir Damian Lillard, alors que ces franchises de « petits marchés » ne pourraient pas l’avoir à la Free Agency. Le Jazz se serait d’ailleurs renseigné sur le meneur. Les agents de Damian Lillard ont d’ailleurs appelés les franchises – hors Miami – de ne pas faire d’offre pour leur client, car Lillard ne sera pas heureux chez eux.<\/span><\/p>
