Les Houston Rockets ont fait des progrès significatifs dans leur alignement, en signant Dillon Brooks et le pivot Jock Landale.<\/h2>

Dillon Brooks, représenté par Mike George de One Legacy Sports, a accepté un contrat de 80 millions de dollars sur quatre ans. Parallèlement, les Rockets ont conclu un accord avec Landale pour un contrat de 32 millions de dollars sur quatre ans, dont seule la première saison est garantie.<\/p>

Ces mouvements préparent les Rockets pour une prochaine saison prometteuse sous la direction du nouvel entraîneur en chef Ime Udoka.<\/p>

Dillon Brooks<\/strong><\/a>, 27 ans, a passé toute sa carrière de six ans avec les Memphis Grizzlies, évoluant en un titulaire clé pour une équipe qui a fait les séries éliminatoires au cours des trois dernières saisons. Sa formidable performance en tant que l’un des meilleurs défenseurs de la NBA lui a valu une sélection All-Defensive dans la deuxième équipe la saison dernière. Brooks a récolté en moyenne 18,4 points par match au cours de la saison 2021-2022, le meilleur de sa carrière, mais avec un pourcentage de shoot effectif inférieur à la moyenne de 47,5%.<\/p>

Cependant, son rôle offensif avec les Grizzlies était controversé. Après une saison controversée qui a culminé avec l’élimination au premier tour des Grizzlies par les Lakers de Los Angeles, la mauvaise sélection de shoots de Brooks et son comportement souvent très limite ont conduit Memphis à renoncer à sa re-signature.<\/p>

Cela inclut un incident notoire où il a qualifié de manière péjorative LeBron James de « vieux ». Dillon Brooks a maintenu une maigre moyenne de tir de 31,2% tout au long de la série et a été condamné à une amende de 25 000 $ par la NBA pour avoir négligé ses obligations médiatiques après les trois dernières défaites de Memphis.<\/p>

D’autre part, Jock Landale, 27 ans, a obtenu son premier contrat substantiel avec la NBA après une saison avec les Phoenix Suns. Il a récolté en moyenne 6,6 points et 4,1 rebonds en 14,2 minutes par match et a fait des apparitions dans sept des matchs éliminatoires des Suns. Sa performance en tant que pivot remplaçant fiable et solide rebondeur à Phoenix a valu à l’équipe plus de 7,9 points pour 100 possessions lorsqu’il était sur le terrain. Son contrat avec les Rockets marque une étape importante après ses débuts en NBA avec les San Antonio Spurs en 2021.<\/p>

Avec ces signatures, parallèlement à l’acquisition très médiatisée du meneur Fred VanVleet, les Rockets sont prêts pour une saison totalement différente de celle de l’an dernier.
