Les Patriots de la Nouvelle-Angleterre ont fait un pas important dans la sécurisation de leur effectif de receveurs en prolongeant le contrat du receveur DeVante Parker pour trois ans supplémentaires.<\/h2>

L’accord, qui pourrait valoir jusqu’à 33 millions de dollars, comprend 14 millions de dollars de garanties et de bonus par match, a confirmé une source de l’équipe à The Athletic<\/a>.<\/p>

DeVante Parker<\/strong><\/a>, 30 ans, a rejoint les Patriots en 2022 via un échange des Dolphins de Miami et a enregistré 31 réceptions et trois touchdowns en 13 matchs la saison dernière. Cette prolongation signale un vote de confiance dans les capacités de Parker, malgré une performance de la saison 2022 qui n’aurait peut-être pas traditionnellement justifié un contrat pluriannuel.<\/p>

Du point de vue des Patriots<\/h3>

Du point de vue des Patriots, cet accord apporte de la stabilité à leur groupe de receveurs, une décision vitale étant donné que seul JuJu Smith-Schuster était sous contrat au-delà de la saison à venir avant cette prolongation. Le nouveau contrat libère également du cap space supplémentaire pour les Pats en 2023, ce qui pourrait être déterminant si l’équipe envisage de recruter d’autres talents importants comme DeAndre Hopkins, toujours disponible.<\/p>

Il y a des spéculations selon lesquelles Parker et Hopkins partagent un style de jeu similaire, ce qui pourrait entraîner une redondance.
