Le running back JK Dobbins, connu pour son jeu explosif sur le terrain, a ouvertement exprimé son mécontentement face à sa situation contractuelle en cours avec les Ravens de Baltimore, alors que l’incertitude plane sur son avenir avec l’équipe.<\/h2>

Malgré sa participation au minicamp obligatoire de l’équipe cette semaine, JK Dobbins<\/strong><\/a> est resté visiblement hors du terrain tout au long des trois entraînements. Au cours de la dernière année de son contrat rookie, le joueur s’est toutefois abstenu de commenter les éventuels problèmes de blessure.<\/p>

Discutant de sa situation difficile avec WJZ-TV jeudi<\/a>, Dobbins a reconnu les défis commerciaux auxquels sont confrontés les joueurs de la NFL, déclarant:<\/p>

« Le côté commercial est très difficile. C’est très différent. Vous avez vu avec Lamar [Jackson] … Ce n’est jamais tout blanc ou tout noir. Cela peut parfois être difficile, et c’est quand même une affaire. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

À 24 ans, JK Dobbins devrait gagner 1,391 million de dollars cette saison, ce qui le place au 24e rang parmi tous les running back en termes de salaire. Malgré ses compétences éprouvées, marquées par une moyenne impressionnante de 5,9 yards au sol depuis 2020, se classant deuxième parmi tous les running back, la carrière de Dobbins a été en proie à des problèmes de blessures.<\/p>

À l’origine un choix de deuxième tour lors du repêchage de 2020, le temps de jeu de Dobbins a été éclipsé par son temps sur le banc. Au cours de sa carrière, il a raté 27 matchs, plus qu’il n’en a joué (23), dont l’intégralité de la saison 2021 en raison d’une importante blessure au genou gauche.<\/p>

La saison dernière, il a été absent pendant six matchs consécutifs après avoir subi une arthroscopie au même genou.<\/p>

Malgré des rapports récents suggérant une blessure aux tissus mous, Dobbins reste réticent, assurant aux fans qu’il étudie activement le livre de jeu et se prépare pour le camp d’entraînement fin juillet.<\/p>

Exprimant son affection pour l’équipe et la ville, Dobbins a déclaré :<\/p>

« J’aimerais être un Raven de Baltimore pour le reste de ma carrière. J’aime la ville, j’aime les gens. C’est comme une famille ici. C’est comme mon deuxième à la maison. Et j’espère que cela arrivera. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

L’entraîneur des Ravens John Harbaugh et le coordinateur offensif Todd Monken ont tous deux indiqué leur empressement à ce que JK Dobbins revienne sur le terrain. L’absence du joueur pendant le minicamp était cependant inattendue.<\/p>

Ce n’est pas la première fois que JK Dobbins exprime son mécontentement. Auparavant, il avait déploré ses blessures et un manque perçu de temps de jeu.
