Après la défaite 3-2 des Panthers de la Floride contre les Golden Knights de Vegas lors du match 4, des questions se posent sur la forme physique de leur joueur vedette, Matthew Tkachuk.<\/h2>

Le temps inhabituellement limité de Tkachuk sur la glace et les difficultés visible pendant le match ont conduit à des spéculations sur son statut pour le match potentiellement décisif de mardi 5.<\/p>

L’attaquant, qui a été la plaque tournante de l’attaque des Panthers avec 11 buts et 13 passes en séries éliminatoires, n’a joué que 16 minutes et 40 secondes sur la glace lors du quatrième match. Matthew Tkachuk<\/strong><\/a>, habituellement implacable, n’a pu gérer que quatre quarts de travail au cours de la troisième période, soulevant des inquiétudes quant à sa forme physique.<\/p>

« De toute évidence, vous voulez être là-bas pour jouer. J’ai simplement réussi à sortir à la fin et essayé de faire de la magie mais le temps a manqué », a commenté Tkachuk après le match.<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>

L’entraîneur des Panthers, Paul Maurice, est resté discret sur l’état de santé de Matthew Tkachuk et son statut pour le match à venir.<\/p>

« Nous avons deux jours de congé pour évaluer cela. Reposez-vous bien et nous prendrons cette décision [alors] », a-t-il déclaré, ajoutant au suspense autour de l’état de Tkachuk.<\/p><\/blockquote>

Il y a des spéculations selon lesquelles Matthew Tkachuk pourrait subir les effets d’un coup de l’attaquant des Golden Knights Keegan Kolesar lors du troisième match. Tkachuk avait été retiré de ce match en première période par des observateurs de commotion cérébrale de la LNH, mais a été autorisé à revenir en deuxième période. Il a ensuite marqué le but égalisateur dans ce match.<\/p>

Cependant, interrogé sur le coup du match 3, Matthew Tkachuk est resté réticent.<\/p>

Malgré l’inconfort évident de Matthew Tkachuk lors du quatrième match, il a refusé d’attribuer son temps de glace réduit à la douleur.<\/p>

« Je ne sais même pas comment répondre à cela, vraiment. J’essaie juste de trouver un moyen de le faire fonctionner ce soir et j’ai probablement trouvé une seconde de moins », a-t-il déclaré.<\/p><\/blockquote>

Le match s’est terminé sur une note chaotique, les Panthers lançant une dernière attaque contre le gardien de Vegas Adin Hill. Tkachuk s’est retrouvé au milieu de l’escarmouche qui a suivi, gagnant des pénalités pour conduite antisportive et sa quatrième inconduite de 10 minutes de la série.<\/p>
