Shohei Ohtani a une fois de plus ébloui ses fans et déconcerté l’opposition vendredi soir contre les Mariners, manquant de peu un exploit historique : frapper pour le cycle tout en servant de lanceur partant – un exploit inédit dans les annales de la Major League Baseball.<\/h2>

La performance de Shohei Ohtani<\/strong><\/a> était tout simplement extraordinaire, car il a fourni une impressionnante démonstration de polyvalence. Malgré une première manche difficile sur le monticule où il a accordé trois points, le phénomène japonais a réussi à relancer l’élan en faveur des Angels, martelant un home run de deux points et un double, pour sceller une victoire 5-4.<\/p>

C’est la quatrième fois cette saison que Shohei Ohtani a démontré sa double compétence exceptionnelle, obtenant au moins trois coups sûrs dans un match tout en étant le lanceur partant – un record intact depuis que le Hall of Famer Warren Spahn a réalisé cet exploit cinq fois en 1958 avec les Milwaukee Braves.
