Bob Myers, le président et general manager des Golden State Warriors, va s’exprimer en conférence de presse ce mardi 30 mai. En cas de départ, c’est Mike Dunleavy Jr, son assistant, qui serait le candidat principal pour le remplacer.<\/b><\/h2>

C’est l’un des architectes de la dynastie des Warriors. En fin de contrat, Bob Myers n’a pas prolongé et a refusé les offres faites par les propriétaires de la franchise. Arrivé à Golden State il y a plus de douze ans, il a su imposer sa vision et a grandement contribué aux quatre titres NBA remportés par les Warriors.<\/span><\/p>

 <\/p>

Son nom était associé depuis plusieurs semaines aux Washington Wizards, qui était à la recherche d’un general manager. Finalement, la franchise a préféré signer Michael Winger. Selon Marc Stein<\/a>, Bob Myers réfléchirait plutôt à prendre une pause, après plusieurs saisons plus intenses les unes que les autres.<\/span><\/p>

Encore selon Marc Stein, la conférence de presse de ce mardi devrait acter son départ de Golden State. Les Warriors pourraient opter pour une promotion en interne, avec Mike Dunleavy Jr. Drafté à Golden State, le fils de l’ancien coach NBA du même nom a passé 15 ans en tant que joueur dans la ligue. Dans son après carrière, il est revenu aux Warriors en 2018 en tant que scout, puis assistant GM en 2019. Il y a deux ans, il a été nommé vice-président des opérations basket et est devenu le bras droit de Myers.<\/span><\/p>

Golden State devrait donc opter pour la continuité en interne, alors qu’un été important arrive pour la franchise. Draymond Green<\/a> et Klay Thompson<\/a> sont parmi les joueurs qui se retrouvent agents libres.
