La Ligue nationale de football (NFL) semble éviter de créer un précédent potentiellement perturbateur en ignorant les allégations de tampering portées contre les Commanders de Washington.<\/h2>

Les accusations ont émergé au milieu des spéculations selon lesquelles les Commanders auraient eu des contacts avec le quarterback des Colts à la retraite Andrew Luck alors qu’ils recherchaient un nouveau quarterback partant en 2022.<\/p>

Selon un rapport du Washington Post<\/a>, il est peu probable que les Commanders<\/a> fassent face à des mesures punitives pour le prétendu tampering de Luck. La principale raison étant le manque de «preuves tangibles» pour étayer ces affirmations.<\/p>

Mais cela nous laisse avec une question lancinante : quelles mesures ont été prises pour découvrir de telles preuves ?<\/p>

Le Post maintient sa position sur la base de son rapport initial qui citait une source non identifiée du camp de Luck, niant tout contact avec les Commanders.<\/p>

Andrew Luck, qui a pris ses distances avec le sport, ne sera probablement pas intéressé à s’impliquer dans une telle controverse. Mais il est intéressant de considérer que même si le contact direct avec les Colts à propos de Luck n’a jamais eu lieu, il est possible que les Commanders aient contacté Luck ou quelqu’un de son camp.<\/p>

Si la NFL était encline à enquêter, ce ne serait pas une entreprise difficile. La ligue pourrait ordonner aux Commanders de produire des SMS, des e-mails ou des enregistrements téléphoniques des dirigeants d’équipe, des entraîneurs et des dépisteurs pendant une période spécifiée.<\/p>

Par exemple, du 1er novembre 2021 jusqu’au moment où les Commanders ont échangé le QB des Colts Carson Wentz. Ces enregistrements pourraient ensuite être méticuleusement examinés pour toute indication de tentatives visant à évaluer l’intérêt de Luck à retourner sur le terrain.<\/p>

Cependant, il semble que la NFL ne soit pas disposée à s’engager dans cette voie. L’allégation semble sur le point de « disparaître » tranquillement, ce qui fait allusion à la préférence probable de la NFL.<\/p>

Sans surprise, les Colts, à la lumière d’un rapport ESPN suggérant que les Commanders avaient contacté Luck, ont exigé une enquête. Cela fait suite à la résolution de l’affaire de tampering de Jonathan Gannon, où la mesure sans précédent consistant à permettre aux équipes impliquées de négocier une compensation de draft pour régler l’affaire. Il semble logique pour toute équipe qui soupçonne un tampering d’exiger une enquête, gagnant potentiellement un avantage stratégique.<\/p>

En fermant les yeux sur la situation et en la laissant « s’estomper », la NFL évite de créer un nouveau précédent.
