Cette chirurgie est g&eacute;n&eacute;ralement n&eacute;cessaire lorsqu&rsquo;un lanceur souffre d&rsquo;une d&eacute;chirure partielle ou compl&egrave;te du ligament, ce qui est malheureusement le cas pour Springs.<\/p><p>Suite &agrave; cette intervention, il est courant que les lanceurs doivent suivre une p&eacute;riode de r&eacute;habilitation de 12 &agrave; 15 mois avant de pouvoir reprendre la comp&eacute;tition. Si tout se passe bien, Springs pourrait rejoindre la rotation des Rays d&egrave;s mars 2024.<\/p><p>Avant sa blessure, Jeffrey Springs connaissait un excellent d&eacute;but de saison avec une fiche de 2 victoires et aucune d&eacute;faite, ainsi qu&rsquo;une impressionnante moyenne de points m&eacute;rit&eacute;s de 0,56. Il avait toutefois d&ucirc; quitter son d&eacute;part du 13 avril face aux Red Sox de Boston en raison de douleurs au coude gauche.<\/p><p>Les Rays avaient montr&eacute; leur confiance en Springs en janvier dernier en lui accordant une prolongation de contrat de quatre ans pour un montant de 31 millions de dollars.
