Dans une incroyable démonstration d’attaque, les Mets de New York ont marqué 17 points sur 11 coups sûrs et un record de 17 buts sur balles pour vaincre les Oakland Athletics 17-6 vendredi soir.<\/h2>

Les Mets ont établi un nouveau record de franchise pour les buts sur balle en un seul match, un record qui n’a pas été battu depuis la saison inaugurale de l’équipe en 1962.<\/p>

Les Mets sont entrés dans l’histoire lors de leur match d’ouverture de la série à Oakland, devenant la première équipe depuis 1957 à marquer six points ou plus sur un ou aucun coup sûr en deux manches distinctes dans le même match, selon le Elias Sports Bureau. Cet exploit rare ne s’est produit que deux fois dans une saison une fois depuis 1974, lors de deux matchs distincts par deux équipes différentes en 1998.<\/p>

Dans la deuxième manche, les Mets ont marqué six points sur cinq buts sur balles et un seul coup sûr, et ont répété leur succès dans la cinquième manche avec six autres points, cette fois sur cinq buts sur balle.<\/p>

Francisco Lindor a été le meilleur joueur, égalant son record en un seul match avec sept points produits sur deux coups sûrs lors des manches explosives de six points des Mets.
