Le plaqueur défensif des Giants de New York, Dexter Lawrence, a clairement indiqué qu’il cherchait un contrat à long terme avant de participer au camp d’intersaison de l’équipe.<\/h2>

Dexter Lawrence, un joueur hors pair qui a fait sa première apparition au Pro Bowl en 2022, rejoint maintenant le running back Saquon Barkley en attendant que leurs demandes de contrat soient satisfaites. Cette décision audacieuse de la star défensive pourrait avoir des implications importantes sur les préparatifs de l’intersaison des Giants.<\/p>

Dexter Lawrence<\/strong><\/a>, le 17e choix au total lors de la draft de la NFL en 2019, a été un élément essentiel de la défense des Giants depuis son arrivée. Au cours de sa carrière de quatre ans, Lawrence a disputé 64 des 66 matchs possibles, accumulant un impressionnant 213 plaquages, 16,5 sacks et quatre fumble forcés. À seulement 25 ans, Lawrence cherche sans aucun doute à obtenir un contrat à long terme qui reflète sa valeur pour l’équipe.<\/p>

Selon Pat Leonard du New York Daily News<\/a>, le directeur général des Giants, Joe Schoen, a confirmé le mois dernier que les pourparlers contractuels avec les représentants de Dexter Lawrence avaient commencé. Un accord à long terme réduirait effectivement le plafond de Lawrence de 12,4 millions de dollars sur l’option de cinquième année pour cette saison. Cependant, sans accord en vue, Lawrence suit l’exemple de Barkley<\/a> et refuse de jouer jusqu’à ce qu’un accord soit conclu.<\/p>

Saquon Barkley, le running back vedette des Giants, n’a pas non plus signé le franchise tag, des informations indiquant qu’il ne la signera pas avant le début des travaux de l’intersaison.
