Dans une démonstration exceptionnelle de prouesses de lanceur, le gaucher des Texas Rangers Andrew Heaney a égalé le record de la Ligue américaine en retirant neuf frappeurs consécutifs lors de la victoire 11-2 de lundi soir contre les Royals de Kansas City.<\/h2>

Andrew Heaney partage maintenant ce record avec les releveurs des Detroit Tigers Tyler Alexander, qui l’a atteint contre les Reds de Cincinnati le 2 août 2020, et Doug Fister, qui l’a fait contre Kansas City le 27 septembre 2012.<\/p>

Le record de la ligue majeure pour les retraits consécutifs au bâton est actuellement de 10, un exploit accompli par Tom Seaver des Mets de New York le 22 avril 1970, et plus tard égalé par Aaron Nola des Phillies de Philadelphie le 25 juin 2021 et les Milwaukee Brewers avec Corbin Burnes<\/strong><\/a> le 11 août 2021.<\/p>

Après un départ chancelant lors de ses débuts avec les Rangers la semaine dernière, Andrew Heaney<\/strong><\/a> était déterminé à améliorer sa performance, déclarant<\/a> :<\/p>
