Le débat est lancé dans la course au titre de Rookie de l’Année de la NBA : d’un côté, Paolo Banchero, la star montante du Magic d’Orlando, et de l’autre, Jalen Williams, la révélation du Thunder d’Oklahoma City.<\/h2>

Pour l’entraîneur du Magic, Jamahl Mosley, il ne fait aucun doute que Paolo Banchero<\/strong><\/a> mérite ce trophée.<\/p>

Malgré la montée en puissance de Jalen Williams, notamment après un mois de mars exceptionnel, Mosley estime que Banchero, numéro 1 de la Draft, a été un élément clé pour le Magic dès le début de la saison. En effet, il a remporté trois titres de Rookie du mois et a été capable de créer un style de jeu différent tout au long de l’année.<\/p>

Les statistiques plaident en faveur de Paolo Banchero, qui est le meilleur marqueur de sa formation. Il a également montré une belle résilience et une ténacité remarquables après avoir été confronté au fameux Rookie Wall<\/em> en février. Mosley souligne également<\/a> l’impact de Banchero sur le bilan du Magic, qui a engrangé 12 victoires de plus que la saison précédente.<\/p>

« Avec tout le respect que j’ai, je ne pense pas qu’il s’agisse d’une course.<\/em> (Paolo Banchero) a été excellent en contribuant à la victoire, en remportant trois fois le titre de Rookie du mois <\/em>(ndlr : Williams l’a remporté en novembre et devrait le remporter en mars). Il a été capable de créer un style de jeu différent tout au long de l’année, en gérant la balle la majeure partie du temps jusqu’au retour de nos arrières, où il s’est adapté. Il a été capable d’impliquer tout le monde<\/em> »<\/p><\/blockquote>

Il est vrai que Jalen Williams a su trouver sa place au sein du Thunder, restant toutefois dans l’ombre de Shai Gilgeous-Alexander<\/strong><\/a>. De plus, Oklahoma City est en meilleure position pour se qualifier pour le « play-in », ce qui pourrait jouer en faveur de la candidature de Williams. Et en terme de statistiques avancées, Williams surpasse Banchero rappelle JJ Redick.<\/p>

Néanmoins, Jamahl Mosley reste convaincu que Paolo Banchero mérite le titre de Rookie de l’Année, tant pour sa contribution à la réussite du Magic que pour son impact sur le terrain.<\/p>

Le débat est peut-être loin d’être clos, et les deux jeunes talents continueront sans aucun doute à s’affronter pour décrocher ce titre de rookie de l’année.
