Les Padres de San Diego ont négocié avec succès une prolongation de contrat de sept ans avec le joueur de champ intérieur Jake Cronenworth, comme le rapporte The Athletic<\/a>.<\/strong><\/h2>

Cette décision montre l’engagement des Padres à retenir les joueurs clés et à maintenir un effectif solide à long terme. Le nouvel accord débute en 2024, Jake Cronenworth<\/strong><\/a> gagnant 4,225 millions de dollars en 2023. L’annonce de la prolongation est attendue samedi.<\/p>

Jake Cronenworth en est actuellement à sa quatrième saison avec les Padres, après avoir été All Star deux fois de suite dans la Ligue nationale en 2022. La saison dernière, il a enregistré une ligne de stats de .239\/.332\/.390 avec 17 home runs et 88 points produits, faisant lui un atout précieux pour l’équipe.<\/p>

La décision de prolonger le contrat de Cronenworth offre des avantages aux deux parties. Jake Cronenworth reçoit une sécurité financière jusque dans sa trentaine, tandis que les Padres gagnent en sécurité financière car ils gèrent plusieurs engagements financiers. Avec cette prolongation, Cronenworth rejoint Manny Machado et Xander Bogaerts en tant qu’équipes à long terme pour les Padres.<\/p>

L’arrêt-court \/ deuxième but Ha-Seong Kim est le seul membre du champ intérieur partant sans contrat à long terme.
