Absent du début de saison des Astros en raison de sa fracture au pouce, Jose Altuve n’envisage pas encore la retraite.<\/strong><\/h2>

Jose Altuve<\/strong><\/a> n’a connu qu’une seule franchise, celle des Hosuton Astros. Arrivé pendant une période où les Astros n’étaient pas la super-puissance que l’on connaît aujourd’hui, Altuve a fait son chemin à coups de performances sur le terrain.<\/p>

Il est rapidement devenu l’un des symbole de cette équipe qui décrochera son premier titre en 2017.<\/p>

À 32 ans, Jose Altuve ne se voit pas aller ailleurs pour le moment :<\/p>

« C’est la seule ville où j’ai joué dans les ligues majeures, la seule équipe, et ça fait du bien », a déclaré Altuve ce printemps via le Houston Chronicle<\/a>. « Je pense que ce qui le rendait plus spécial quand je suis arrivé dans les grandes ligues, c’était de perdre beaucoup et ensuite (de traverser) le processus, la reconstruction et de ne pas gagner. Cela me fait penser, eh bien, j’étais ici depuis qu’ils perdaient, (donc) je veux rester ici maintenant que nous gagnons. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

Et les Astros continuent de gagner. Champion en titre, ils tenteront de réalisé le back-to-back dès le 30 mars prochain et de revenir une 3ème fois de suite en World Series.<\/p>

La retraite ? Pas encore <\/strong><\/h3>

Avec seulement 65 coups sûrs avant la marque des 2000 en carrière, Jose Altuve pourrait franchir une nouvelle étape dans sa carrière, mais pas la dernière selon lui :<\/p>

« J’ai 32 ans et je veux jouer jusqu’à 40 ans », a déclaré Altuve. « J’aime ce que je fais en ce moment. J’aime mon jeu. Je profite de mon sport, … Quand je vais là-bas et que je mets mon uniforme, j’aime vraiment jouer avec ces gars. J’espère, comme l’a dit Craig, que je pourrai rester ici pour le reste de ma carrière. Tout le monde sait que ça ne dépend pas de moi. Mais (c’est) quelque chose que j’aimerais (faire) ».<\/p><\/blockquote>
