L’ancien linebacker des Patriots de la Nouvelle-Angleterre, Dont’a Hightower, a officiellement déclaré sa retraite de la NFL.<\/strong><\/h2>

Dans un article sincère publié mardi dans The Players Tribune<\/a>, Hightower a exprimé sa gratitude pour son temps avec les Patriots.<\/p>

« Aujourd’hui, je prends officiellement ma retraite de la NFL<\/a>. Je sais que ces annonces sont toujours douces-amères, mais je ne peux pas penser à une meilleure histoire que celle que j’ai écrite en Nouvelle-Angleterre. Une décennie, trois Super Bowls, deux Pro Bowls et la naissance de mon fils, tout en jouant pour une seule franchise. Combien de gars ont une histoire comme ça ?<\/p>\n

« Donc, c’est un jour heureux pour moi, et je voulais juste vous faire savoir à quel point j’apprécie que vous embrassiez un enfant du Sud de Lewisburg, Tennessee. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

Dont’a Hightower<\/strong>, un choix de premier tour à la draft de 2012, a passé toute sa carrière avec les Patriots. Il a disputé 117 matchs, débuté 114 d’entre eux, et a accumulé des statistiques impressionnantes, dont 27,0 sacks, 43 plaquages pour perte, 67 coups sur quarterback, deux fumble forcés et cinq récupérations de fumble. De plus, Hightower a intercepté une passe et marqué deux touchdowns défensifs.<\/p>
