Les critiques ont été nombreuses après le All Star Game 2023 allant même jusqu’à le décrire comme « le pire match de basketball jamais joué » pour Mike Malone.<\/strong><\/h2>

Et les audiences viennent corroborer cette impression : 4.59 millions de téléspectateurs ont regardé le match du dimanche soir, les audiences les plus basses jamais enregistrée. Il y a eu une diminution de 27% par rapport au All-Game de l’année dernière, ainsi qu’une baisse de 22% par rapport au dernier creux télévisé de 5,9 millions de téléspectateurs en 2021.<\/p>

En comparaison, le All Star Game le plus regardé de l’histoire est celui de 1993<\/a> avec 22.91 millions de téléspectateurs.<\/p>

Bien qu’il ait atteint son plus bas niveau de téléspectateurs, le All-Star Game de dimanche soir était toujours le programme de télévision par câble le plus regardé aux États-Unis et était également le programme numéro un pour les téléspectateurs âgés de 50 ans et moins. Cependant, le nombre de foyers équipés de la télévision par câble qui se connectaient le samedi et le dimanche soir était en baisse de 10 % par rapport à l’année dernière.<\/p>

La première draft des capitaine en direct dimanche a attiré en moyenne 3,9 millions de téléspectateurs sur TNT \/ TBS, ce qui était huit fois plus élevé que la draft All Star de l’année dernière sur TNT qui n’avait qu’une moyenne de 460 000 téléspectateurs.<\/p>

Les concours du samedi ont également attiré un nombre élevé de téléspectateurs, avec une moyenne de 3,4 millions sur TNT \/ TBS, ce qui en fait le programme le plus regardé ce soir-là. Pendant ce temps, le Celebrity Game de vendredi soir a attiré 1,4 million de téléspectateurs, soit une augmentation de 8% par rapport à l’année précédente.<\/p>

Sur le front numérique, le All-Star Weekend a recueilli 1,75 milliard de vues sur les plateformes sociales et numériques à l’échelle mondiale. Les comptes Twitter et Instagram de la ligue ont été les plus regardés au cours du week-end, et l’application NBA a également publié son week-end All-Star le plus regardé de tous les temps.<\/p>

l’absence des stars influent sur les audiences<\/strong><\/h3>

De nombreuses stars étaient absentes lors du All Star Game 2023 : Zion Williamson<\/strong><\/a>, Kevin Durant<\/strong><\/a> ou encore Stephen Curry<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>

Mais il n’y a pas eu que cela. l’absence de défense durant le match l’a rendu peu attractif virant à un concours de dunk et de 3 points du logo. La nouvelle formule mise en place depuis plusieurs années avec un score final à atteindre était censée redonner de l’attrait au match, favorisant un 4ème quart-temps plus disputé comme ce fût le cas lors de la première édition.<\/p>
