Dick Monfort le propriétaire des Rockies n’est pas convaincu par la stratégie mise en place par les Padres pour renforcer leur effectif. <\/b><\/h2>

“Ils ont dépensé beaucoup d’argent et ils vont devoir en dépenser encore plus s’ils veulent conserver Juan Soto, cela ajoute beaucoup de pression.” Dick Monfort au sujet des Padres.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Pour rappel, après avoir réalisé le plus gros transfert de la saison en récupérant l’un des meilleur frappeur de la ligue en Juan Soto, les Padres ont également recruté cet hiver l’un des meilleurs arrière court disponible sur le marché, Xander Bogaerts en lui offrant un contrat de 280 millions de dollars sur 11 ans.<\/p>

Ce contrat s’ajoute aux méga contrats des superstars Manny Machado<\/strong><\/a> et Fernando Tatis Jr, qui ont tous les deux signés pour plus de 300 millions avec la franchise de San Diego.<\/p>

Une compilation de joueurs talentueux et confirmés qui ferait rêver n’importe quelle équipe ? Pas vraiment, si on écoute le propriétaire des Rockies :<\/p>

« Quand je regarde les Padres, ils ont un effectif très talentueux, mais ils leurs manquent des choses. Ils ont trois, peut-être quatre lanceurs titulaires et après ils sont un peu comme nous. Ils ont Joe Musgrove, Blake Snell et Yu Darvish, donc je ne sais pas »<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Le propriétaire de la franchise du Colorado sous-entend ici que la rotation de lanceurs des Padres n’est pas assez profonde pour leur permettre de surpasser les autres cadors de la ligue nationale.<\/p>

De leur côté, les Rockies n’ont pas été très actif durant l’intersaison et n’ont signé que le lanceur Pierce Johnson pour un contrat d’un an de 5 millions de dollars.<\/p>
