Ils n’étaient plus que deux à pouvoir prétendre à pouvoir choisir en premier lors de la draft NFL 2023 et ce sont donc les Bears qui sont les (heureux ?) élus.<\/strong><\/h2>

Pendant de très nombreuses semaines, les Texans étaient en possession du premier choix de draft NFL 2023. Mais tout s’est renversé dans le duel à distance qui a opposé les Texans et les Bears lors de cette week 18. Comme souvent cette saison, les Texans ont joué avec leurs armes et leur courage ce qui leur a permis de remporter un succès face aux Colts et donc de se priver du premier choix de la draft NFL 2023.<\/p>

Les Texans jouent le jeu jusqu’au bout<\/h3>

S’il est quelque chose que l’on ne pourra sans doute pas reprocher aux Texans cette saison, c’est d’avoir jouer le jeu jusqu’à la dernière seconde. Opposés pour cette week 18 à des Colts apathiques depuis déjà plusieurs semaines, les Texans auraient pu jouer avec le frein à main pour s’assurer le premier choix lors de la draft NFL 2023. Mais cela n’est pas dans les habitudes des joueurs NFL et encore moins dans celles des joueurs de Houston cette saison.<\/p>

Les Texans ont d’ailleurs rendu une très belle copie offensive ce dimanche emmenés par un Davis Mills<\/a> a presque 300 yards à la passe et un Brandin Cooks a 106 yards en réception. Même menés à quelques secondes du terme du match, les Texans ont tout fait pour aller chercher un succès et ont fini par le trouver avec un touchdown d’Akins à moins d’une minute de la fin. Un touchdown converti à deux points pour s’assurer la victoire et perdre également le premier tour de draft NFL 2023.<\/p>

Un premier tour de draft NFL 2023 qui reviendra donc finalement à des Bears qui n’ont pas longtemps fait illusion face aux Vikings du Minnesota (défaite 29-13<\/a>). Sans Justin Fields, les Bears n’ont jamais trouvé la cadence en attaque et ont encore fait preuve de largesses en défense face à des Vikings qui n’ont pas eu à forcer leur talent pour s’offrir leur 13e victoire de la saison.<\/p>

Des conséquences limitées sur la draft NFL 2023?<\/h3>

Cette victoire des Texans aura-t-elle donc un impact très important sur le choix opéré par les deux franchises concernés lors de la draft NFL 2023? On peut raisonnablement en douter.<\/p>

Les Bears de Chicago semblent avoir trouver en Justin Fields un quarterback de talent capable de mener la franchise pour les prochaines saisons. Il est donc beaucoup plus probable de voir les résidents de NFC Nord tenter de se renforcer en défense et dans le pass rush lors de la prochaine draft NFL. Un poste défensif qui semble bien loin des préoccupations des Texans qui chercheront eux sans doute un quarterback à la draft et pourquoi pas Bryce Young.<\/p>
