Il ne reste plus que deux semaines pour les différents prétendants au titre de MVP NFL 2025 pour faire la différence. Pendant de nombreuses semaines, ce trophée de MVP NFL, qui récompense rappelons-le le meilleur joueur de la saison régulière, fut très indécis. Sans doute même l’un des plus ouverts de ces dernières années. Mais depuis un mois maintenant, un duo joue au chat et à la souris avec l’objectif final de remporter le trophée.<\/p>

Stafford toujours en tête, Maye revient dans la course<\/h2>

Le duo de prétendant au titre de MVP NFL 2025 se compose donc d’un côté de Matthew Stafford, quarterback des Los Angeles Rams, et de l’autre de Drake Maye, le quarterback des New England Patriots. Qu’on se le dise: ceux qui espérait voir un non-quarterback triompher cette année pourront encore attendre.<\/p>

Après la semaine 15, Matthew Stafford semblait avoir fait un break presque décisif dans la course au trophée de MVP. Un break réalisé grâce à une prestation solide conjuguée à une défaite des Patriots. Cette semaine, changement de programme! Les Patriots ont gagné et ce sont les Rams qui sont restés à quai. Cependant, Matthew Stafford sort une nouvelle prestation solide de son chapeau. Le maître à jouer de la franchise californienne termine avec 29 passes complétées sur 49 tentées pour 457 yards et 3 touchdowns. Le tout une nouvelle fois sans interception lancée.<\/p>

Drake Maye aussi s’est montré solide dans la victoire de son équipe face aux Baltimore Ravens. Le jeune meneur de jeu des Patriots achève sa partie à 31\/44 à la passe pour 380 yards, 2 touchdowns et une interception. Mais surtout avec une victoire de plus au compteur ce qui relance les Patriots dans la course au first seed. A cette heure, Matthew Stafford reste donc le favori des bookmakers. Le quarterback des Rams possède une cote de 1.51 contre 2.8 pour Maye<\/a>. Un écart qui s’est donc resserré par rapport à la semaine dernière.<\/p>

Josh Allen complète toujours le podium<\/h2>

Derrière Matthew Stafford et Drake Maye, le trou est fait! Le plus proche poursuivant n’est autre que le MVP en titre, Josh Allen, avec une cote de … 26! Autant dire que les chances d’un doublé de Josh Allen sont très faibles à seulement deux matchs de la fin. Le reste de la meute est encore plus loin puisque seul Trevor Lawrence, en grande forme avec les Jaguars, possède une cote inférieure à 100.<\/p>

A noter du changement chez les non-quarterbacks! Longtemps considéré comme un potentiel prétendant au titre de MVP, Jonathan Taylor recule dans le classement des bookmakers. Il est maintenant devancé par deux receveurs en la personne de Jaxon Smith-Njigba (Seahawks) et Puka Nacua (Rams). Un changement anecdotique tant les deux receveurs auraient besoin d’un séisme pour remporter le trophée d’ici la fin de cette saison.<\/p>
