Nashville pourrait bien s’inviter prochainement dans le cercle très fermé des villes hôtes du Super Bowl<\/a>. Alors que le nouveau Nissan Stadium, futur antre des Titans, doit ouvrir ses portes en 2027, la question d’y accueillir le plus grand événement sportif des Etats-Unis s’est naturellement invitée lors de la cérémonie célébrant l’achèvement du gros oeuvre du stade, vendredi. Roger Goodell, présent pour l’occasion, n’a pas cherché à dissimuler son enthousiasme.<\/p>

Après la draft, le Super Bowl à Nashville?<\/h2>

Le commissaire de la NFL a rappelé à quel point la franchise et la ville avaient déjà prouvé leur capacité à organiser des événements majeurs. L’exemple le plus marquant reste la Draft 2019, transformée en véritable festival populaire. <\/p>

« Vous avez fait de la Draft un événement qui vous ressemblait, et vous l’avez rendu extrêmement impactant pour l’avenir de la NFL. Il ne manquait qu’une scène pour que vous puissiez accueillir le Super Bowl » a-t-il expliqué en désignant le nouveau stade en construction<\/a>. « Et désormais, cette scène prend forme. »<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Le Tennessee pour le Super Bowl LXIII?<\/h2>

Le Tennessee n’a pas tardé à saisir cette opportunité. Le gouverneur Bill Lee a officiellement écrit à la NFL pour soutenir la candidature de Nashville à l’organisation du Super Bowl LXIII en février 2029, qui clôturera la saison 2028. La ville est en concurrence avec Las Vegas, déjà hôte du Super Bowl LVIII en 2024, et qui souhaite de nouveau accueillir l’événement.<\/p>

La route vers une attribution reste soumise au processus habituel de la ligue, mais Goodell a laissé entendre qu’il voyait Nashville comme un candidat naturel. Avec le SoFi Stadium (Los Angeles) prévu pour 2027 et le Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta) pour 2028, l’édition 2029 pourrait bien marquer une première historique pour Music City.<\/p>
