Pour la première fois de la saison, Jameis Winston se retrouve au centre de l’attaque chez les New York Giants. Relégué au rôle de troisième quarterback pendant dix semaines, l’ancien numéro un de la draft n’a pourtant jamais envisagé que son aventure en NFL était derrière lui. Et en cette semaine 11<\/a>, avec la mise à l’écart de Jaxson Dart en raison d’une commotion, l’occasion tant attendue se présente enfin: Winston mènera l’attaque face aux Green Bay Packers.<\/p>

La première décision de Mike Kafka<\/h2>

La décision de l’entraîneur intérimaire Mike Kafka<\/a> de le hisser devant Russell Wilson sur la depth chart redonne vie à la carrière du vétéran de 11 saisons. Pour autant, Winston assure être resté mentalement prêt: <\/p>

« Je n’ai jamais cessé de jouer, même sans être sur le terrain. Cela me permettra de répondre présent dès le premier snap. J’attendais ce moment avec impatience. Quand on a enfin la chance de jouer, la seule chose qui compte, c’est d’y aller action par action et de donner le meilleur » explique-t-il<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Jameis Winston, numéro 2 à long terme<\/h2>

S’il est impossible de savoir combien de temps cette parenthèse durera, son énergie communicative pourrait être un atout précieux pour des Giants en pleine tourmente. Engluée dans une série de quatre défaites consécutives, la franchise new-yorkaise vient de limoger son entraîneur et se tourne maintenant vers Jameis Winston après l’échec de la tentative Russell Wilson. <\/p>

Quoi qu’il arrive, Winston entend savourer chaque instant: une nouvelle chance qu’il aborde avec passion et détermination dans une saison dans laquelle les New York Giants n’ont plus rien à perdre.<\/p>
