C’est une absence de plus dans l’escouade offensive des Jacksonville Jaguars à l’approche de leur affrontement de la semaine 10<\/a> face aux Houston Texans. Leur principal receveur, Brian Thomas Jr., est officiellement forfait<\/a> pour la rencontre en raison d’une blessure à la cheville contractée lors du dernier quart-temps de la victoire en prolongation contre les Las Vegas Raiders.<\/p>

Une absence de poids pour les Jaguars<\/h2>

L’entraîneur principal Liam Coen a reconnu vendredi l’importance de cette absence: <\/p>

« Brian Thomas est un joueur explosif, il adore ce genre de duels et il nous avait offert une action décisive lors du dernier match contre Houston. Ne pas l’avoir, c’est un vrai coup dur » a confié l’entraîneur principal de la franchise floridienne à ESPN.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Le joueur de deuxième année s’est rapidement imposé comme une arme essentielle dans le système offensif de Jacksonville. Il mène actuellement l’équipe avec 30 réceptions et 420 yards gagnés, confirmant le potentiel qu’il avait déjà montré lors de sa saison rookie en 2024.<\/p>

Pour ne rien arranger, les Jaguars seront également privés de Travis Hunter, autre jeune talent polyvalent placé récemment sur la liste des blessés en raison d’un problème au genou. Résultat: le corps de receveurs se retrouve décimé.<\/p>

Face à cette situation, Coen devra s’appuyer sur un groupe profondément remanié. Parker Washington et Tim Patrick devraient voir leur rôle s’élargir, tandis que Jakobi Meyers, fraîchement arrivé à la trade deadline<\/a> en provenance des Raiders, pourrait être rapidement mis à contribution pour pallier ces absences. Le staff espère aussi récupérer Dyami Brown, encore incertain à cause du protocole commotion.<\/p>
