Relégué au rôle de troisième quarterback des New York Giants depuis le début de la saison 2025, Jameis Winston ne semble pas frustré par son statut actuel. L’ancien premier choix de la draft 2015 a trouvé une nouvelle motivation: accompagner la progression du jeune Jaxson Dart<\/a>, titulaire prometteur de la franchise new-yorkaise.<\/p>

Jameis Winston, soutien numéro 1 de Dart<\/h2>

Interrogé par ESPN<\/a>, Winston a livré un discours empreint de maturité et d’humilité: <\/p>

« J’aimerais aider Jaxson Dart à devenir la superstar qu’il est destiné à être. C’est un talent donné par Dieu. Je veux l’assister de toutes les manières possibles. »<\/p>

S’il reconnaît rêver toujours de soulever un Super Bowl, Winston affirme que le faire avec les Giants serait « iconique et légendaire ». Il est d’ailleurs prêt à endosser n’importe quel rôle pour contribuer à cet objectif: titulaire, remplaçant ou simple mentor.<\/p>

Jameis Winston, un rôle à jouer chez les Giants?<\/h2>

Sous contrat jusqu’en 2026, l’ancien joueur des Buccaneers et des Saints sait toutefois que ses chances de retrouver un poste de numéro un sont minces, sauf blessure d’un des quarterbacks devant lui dans la hiérarchie. Mais selon les témoignages de Brian Daboll, entraîneur principal des Giants, et de Jaxson Dart lui-même, Winston a déjà un impact significatif dans le vestiaire et dans la salle des quarterbacks.<\/p>
