Mariners-Tigers : Malgré la présence de Tarik Skubal sur le monticule, les Seattle Mariners<\/strong> ont remporté leur première victoire en playoffs et se sont fait une belle frayeur en huitième manche avant de s’imposer 3 à 2 face aux Detroit Tigers<\/strong>, dimanche soir au T-Mobile Park.<\/p>

Jusqu’au début de la huitième manche, Seattle menait 2 à 0 et semblait contrôler le match, malgré une courte avance. Mais le haut de la huitième a tout changé : Detroit est revenu à égalité et a même eu la course de la victoire en deuxième base, avec seulement un retrait. Finalement, les Mariners ont serré le jeu, obtenu deux strikeouts cruciaux, puis repris l’avantage dans le bas de la manche.<\/p>

Grâce à ce succès, la série est désormais à égalité (1-1) et se déplacera à Detroit<\/strong> pour les matchs 3 et 4 dès ce lundi (6 octobre).<\/p>

Les hommes du match<\/h2>

Pour Seattle, Jorge Polanco<\/strong> a été la grande star de la soirée. Le deuxième base a frappé trois coups sûrs en quatre passages au bâton, dont deux home runs en solo<\/strong> face à Tarik Skubal. Sur le monticule, Luis Castillo<\/strong> a livré une excellente performance : 14 retraits, une seule frappe concédée, quatre walks et trois strikeouts.<\/p>

En face, Tarik Skubal<\/strong> a confirmé son statut de l’un des meilleurs lanceurs de la MLB<\/a>. En sept manches complètes, il a concédé cinq frappes et signé neuf strikeouts. Ses deux seules erreurs : les deux lancers convertis en home runs par Polanco.<\/p>

Côté Tigers, Spencer Torkelson<\/strong> a été le principal artisan du retour en huitième manche, avec une double qui a permis à Detroit d’égaliser.<\/p>

Un duel de lanceurs dominateurs<\/h2>

Pendant les sept premières manches, le match s’est résumé à un duel défensif<\/strong> : seulement deux points marqués et sept coups sûrs au total. Skubal a été dominant, ne commettant que deux erreurs face à un Polanco en feu, tandis que Castillo a tenu bon avant de céder sa place à un bullpen solide.<\/p>

Gabe Speier<\/strong> et Eduard Bazardo<\/strong> ont chacun lancé une manche propre, limitant les Tigers à une frappe par manche.<\/p>

Une huitième manche pleine de rebondissements<\/h2>

Le tournant du match est survenu en huitième manche. Matt Brash<\/strong> a d’abord concédé un walk, puis une erreur défensive a permis aux Tigers de placer deux coureurs sur base. Torkelson a frappé une double pour ramener deux points et égaliser. Avec un seul retrait et le coureur de la victoire en position, Brash s’est toutefois ressaisi avec deux strikeouts consécutifs.<\/p>

Dans le bas de la manche, avec Skubal remplacé par Kyle Finnegan<\/strong>, les Mariners ont répliqué. Après un retrait sur Randy Arozarena<\/strong>, Cal Raleigh<\/strong> a frappé une double avant que Julio Rodríguez<\/strong> ne l’envoie au marbre avec une autre double. Polanco a ensuite ajouté un simple, plaçant Rodríguez en troisième base, mais deux retraits rapides ont mis fin à la manche.<\/p>

En neuvième, Andrés Muñoz<\/strong> est venu conclure la victoire sans accorder la moindre frappe, scellant la première victoire des Mariners dans cette série palpitante.<\/p>
