Les Green Bay Packers ont frappé un grand coup fin août en s’offrant Micah Parsons<\/a>, arraché aux Dallas Cowboys dans un échange qui a fait grand bruit depuis. Mais selon plusieurs sources, le linebacker des Cowboys n’était pas le premier nom sur la liste de la franchise du Wisconsin.<\/p>

Trey Hendrickson approché?<\/h2>

Avant de conclure le deal pour Parsons le 28 août, les Packers avaient approché les Cincinnati Bengals au sujet de Trey Hendrickson<\/a>. Le pass rusher de 30 ans, auteur de 17,5 sacks en 2024 et finaliste pour le titre de Défenseur de l’année, disposait alors de l’autorisation de sonder le marché, ses discussions contractuelles avec les Bengals ayant patiné. Green Bay avait même envisagé d’inclure son pilier défensif Kenny Clark dans la transaction, mais n’était pas encore prêt à s’en séparer à ce stade.<\/p>

Cincinnati, de son côté, n’a jamais réellement envisagé de lâcher Hendrickson. Le club a préféré sécuriser son joueur en lui accordant une augmentation de 14 millions de dollars pour la saison à venir, même si ce dernier reste en fin de contrat à l’issue de l’exercice.<\/p>

Ambition: améliorer le pass rush<\/h2>

Finalement, ce fut Dallas qui a bénéficié du départ de Kenny Clark. Le defensive tackle et deux choix de premier tour ont été envoyés au Texas pour permettre à Green Bay de récupérer Micah Parsons. L’ancien Cowboy, âgé de 26 ans, s’est rapidement vu offrir une prolongation historique: quatre ans et 188 millions de dollars, faisant de lui le joueur non-quarterback le mieux payé de la ligue en termes de salaire annuel.<\/p>

Cette séquence révèle l’ambition claire des Packers: muscler leur pass rush pour franchir un cap dès cette saison. Qu’il s’agisse d’Hendrickson ou de Parsons, l’objectif restait le même: ajouter une menace élite capable de transformer la défense et de replacer Green Bay parmi les candidats sérieux au titre.<\/p>
