Sélectionné au début du deuxième tour de la Draft, Adou Thiero pourrait obtenir des minutes importantes dans la rotation de Redick.<\/p>

Les Los Angeles Lakers sont arrivés à la Draft NBA 2025 avec seulement le 55e choix. Après quelques mouvements, la franchise a réussi à remonter et à récupérer le contrôle du 36e pick. Avec cette sélection, ils ont choisi l’ailier-fort Adou Thiero<\/strong>, 21 ans. <\/p>

Le general manager Rob Pelinka<\/strong> a osé une comparaison avec OG Anunoby<\/strong>, joueur des New York Knicks.<\/p>

Dans une interview accordée à Spectrum Sportsnet<\/a><\/em>, le dirigeant s’est montré enthousiaste en évoquant le profil de l’ailier new-yorkais comme référence pour Thiero.<\/p>

« Oui, c’est un grand nom. Évidemment, OG est un joueur exceptionnel qui a déjà accompli beaucoup de choses dans cette ligue. Je ne veux pas mettre de pression sur quelqu’un pour qu’il devienne un autre joueur, mais l’archétype est clairement le même. Il mesure 1,98 m, il est incroyablement explosif, je pense qu’il progresse dans son tir, il peut finir des alley-oops. Et de l’autre côté du terrain, il peut devenir un défenseur d’élite », a expliqué Pelinka.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Au cours de sa carrière NCAA, passée entre Kentucky<\/strong> et Arkansas<\/strong>, Thiero s’est surtout distingué par son impact défensif. Mais lors de sa dernière saison, il a également fait un bond offensif, passant de 7,2 points de moyenne par match<\/strong> à 15,1 points<\/strong>.<\/p>

Le tir extérieur, principal défi de Thiero<\/h3>

Pour atteindre un niveau comparable à celui d’Anunoby, Thiero devra cependant progresser dans son adresse. Le joueur des Knicks<\/a><\/strong>, en plus d’être l’un des meilleurs défenseurs de la ligue, s’est affirmé comme une menace fiable à longue distance. Thiero, de son côté, n’a affiché que 25,6 % de réussite à trois points<\/strong> sur sa dernière campagne.<\/p>

Une opportunité chez les Lakers en 2025-26<\/h3>

Durant cette offseason, les Lakers ont perdu l’un de leurs meilleurs défenseurs, Dorian Finney-Smith<\/strong>, parti aux Houston Rockets après l’échec des négociations de prolongation. Une brèche s’est donc ouverte dans l’effectif angelino.<\/p>

Pour compenser, la franchise a recruté Jake LaRavia<\/strong>, un jeune joueur passé par Memphis et Sacramento. Mais la présence de Thiero pourrait aussi s’avérer précieuse. Bien qu’il n’ait pas disputé la Summer League en raison d’une blessure, le rookie pourrait rapidement s’imposer dans la rotation de JJ Redick<\/strong>, grâce à son énergie et son engagement défensif.<\/p>
